    Restaurant Reviews

Not sure if we've had a thread like this but I'm starting one. I think it will help people to pick places to eat, especially in the summer as they are on vacation. I try to check out a new ball park a year, I missed last year so I'm going to the Chicago parks and Milwaukee this year. I'll update after those trips as well, I plan on going to Harry Carny's restaurant outside of Wrigley. Anyway, this weekend I was in Cincinnati, Ohio for the Reds/Cardinals series. I ate "out" (out means non fast food) once, I chose Arnies on the Levee in Newport, KY (right outside Cincinnati).

    Restaurant Type: Sports Bar
Specialty: Sign outside says best wings, burgers, and pizza in town
Food Selection: Myself: Hot Wings, overall I give them a B+, the sauce was different. I personally really enjoyed them but my girlfriend didn't care for them. She had potato skins, which she really liked. We each had fries which were really good, all of the food was hot and out in a timely manner.
Price: A+ My girlfriend and I ate for $20

Other Notes: The restaurant has no parking, you must park in Newport (which has free parking) and walk to the restaurant. Closer parking is available from $3-$5. The town provides easy access to Reds and Bengals game. Following the meal we walked across the Ohio River on a foot bridge to the game. From what I remember they had approximately 10 beers on tap with the normal stocking of mixed drinks. Prior to Reds games pitchers of beer are $5. Also, no wait on a table. We arrived around 5:00 p.m. for a 7:00 p.m. game on a Saturday. They have outside and indoor seating with flat screen tv's on the wall (they could use more imo).

Overall Grade: B, I would give them an A but I'm not sure how to grade the wings. As I stated, I really liked them but will admit that they had a weird sauce, I feel like you will either really take a liking to it or dismiss it immediately. I would go back and plan to do so, on the next trip in I hope to try a burger or pizza. To improve, they need more tv's and something that sets them off. For instance, local memorabilia, a real specialty food item, etc.
